I created the form below to keep track of my reloads. I put the reloaded rounds in a baggie with this form and then after I fire, I make comments and I save the form in a file for future reference.

Can anyone suggest additional info for the form??

Well, As you take the form to the range, you might add tempature, wind conditions, humidity, and a space for group size and number of rounds per group/ i.e 3 rnds into 1" or some such. And some indication on variance from point of aim (3 inches high at 50 yds, for example)

You may also want to add firearm used, book Muzzle velocity, and if you have a chrony, actual MV.

Add all that, and you may have to get real careful the form dont pull the trigger for ya!!

I put most of that in my reloading log at the bench, but not nearly as much on the slip that goes in the ammo box.

For test loads, I might just write "Load 63" on the slip, and that's all. I'll then jot "63" on the chronograph tape; I record all the data on the load sheet afterward.

No sense writing all that stuff twice.

For non-test loads that I'll store a while, I record the date loaded, brass and primer type, charge and bullet, plus velocity. That's all. Again, everything else is in the big log book.

I just write the basics on the stick on reload label and paste it on the ammo box. The actual results and more detailed data is recorded in the manuals or in the reloading die box.

Thanks, everyone.

I have added a Load # and a primer line.

The shooting conditions info is important, but I write that stuff on the front or back of the target. Now I will include the Load # on the target.

Same here, I guess I didn't look very close. Definitely need the primer type as some primer changes can make a lot of difference sometimes. I include the case length and OAL on the same line. I don't record nearly as much info as you have, so you certainly should be good to go.

You should also keep track of the manufacturer of the bullet.

I'm to lazy to enter all that information.   I put a slip of paper in with the ammo showing weight and make of bullet, load and powder. This way I know if it's a scorching load or not.

How well it shoots is in my load book where it belongs.   And I no longer use the load book but Point Blank software.

I keep a loading book on the bench that has all the info I can think of about the load. If I chony the load I come home and put that info in the book as well.

For the ammo boxes I put the date, caliber, bullet weight, Bullet manufacturer if it's a store bought bullet, the powder name and weight and an approx expected velocity.

I also put the page number for my loading book to reference.

The powder and bullet data on the ammo box is only for those at the range that ask "so...wutcha shootin' thar bud?".

I have a nice form too but I don't want to look like I'm trying to compete or steal your thunder. Great work, nothing better than good records.

A buddy of mine had all the data you need lines printed on his targets. Put the targets in a 3 ring binder after shooting, the proof (info) is in the bound target!!
