vette,
Old Western Scrounger may be able to help you:
http://www.ows-ammo.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/21/pr oducts_id/457
You will notice they use 32-20 brass!
Mike

Vette, you are taking on a job. .32 WSL is not quite like anything else. If Cartridges of the World's measurements are to be trusted (they aren't always), you could cobble up some rounds that would shoot from .327 Federal brass with the rims trimmed to semirim. If your chamber is oversized, you could use 32-20 brass. also with the rim turned.
You could use cast 150-170 grain 8mm bullets sized to fit your rifle. CotW suggests 12 grains of 2400, but start low and work slowly up.
Dies are going to have to be custom proposition. Fortunately, it's a straight wall case, and a standard machinist's 11/32 drill can be used to make the sizer.

OK, I'm ignorant. What is the .32 SLR?

Rich, CotW described it as the most useless centerfire rifle cartridge ever. Think wimpy .30 Carbine. Too light for deer, too much for small game, too inaccurate for varmints. It was also only chambered in autoloaders so it throws the brass in the weeds and only accepts a narrow range of loads. It shot a 165 grain .320 bullet at 1400 fps.
IIRC, it saw very limited use by prison guards and was ignored by almost everyone else.

OK, so it was another chambering for the '05 Winchester autoloader. I'd only ever heard of the 35 caliber cartridge in it.

Useless? If Heckler and Koch introduced that cartridge today in a carbon fiber three shot burst bullpup subgun, it would be considered the new perfect cartridge. They could make it LE only and then people would be going out of their minds to get one.

Been done, Wisky, sorta. The .32 WSL is a beefed up version of the .30 Pederson, a short lived cartridge used in a device that converted 1903 Springfields to full auto. It was pretty useless, too.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm not talking about a wooden gun made 100 years ago. I'm talking about making it black and calling it an HK VP727 and it would be chambered in 8mm SOCOM. It would cost $6,000.00 and only be available to LE. No LE agency would adopt it. A couple of rich guys would pay $20,000.00 to get them and it would be hailed as the greates CQB weapons "platform" for exclusive CQB Operators. HK would stop making them a year or two after introduction and offer no support, parts etc for it and not even return thje phone calls of the owners who needed support.
