It always seems to come up whenever mixed brass is involved. I found some .44 Special BHA head stamps today and didn't have a clue where they were made, or who made them. I checked my normal source http://www.afte.org/ExamResources/gallery2/v/Headstamp-Galle ry/, but didn't find it listed.

So, I used a Google search for "BHA" head stamp and found another site http://www.igman.com/ammunition/codes/ that had the answer.

BHA is Black Hills Ammunition and it's made in the USA.

I keep information like this stored in my "Bookmarks" (FireFox) in the "Reloading" section.

Many thanks for the links, Paul -- they both are now nestled comfortably in my "favorites".

I've got a couple of boxes of WW-II frenchie stuff for the 1911, and they have small primers -- odd . . .

I had trouble with your link as there is and extra space in "gallery" take the space out and all is well. Nice site though.

There are certainly companies who put your own headstamps on cases....so it's a good possiblity that JOHN is one of them!
