Anyone familiar with the cast bullet, hunting, shooting articles of Glen E. Fryxell is going to love this.

He has written a full length book and it's posted on line . . .

From Ingot to Target: A Cast Bullet Guide for Handgunners

From how to get started casting to the technical of alloy, flux and lube to hunting with cast bullets.

Hey! Now that is some great news!
Just read the section on flux and found it very informative.
Bookmarked.
Thanks.

For those of you that would rather print it out instead of reading on the computer it is now available in pdf also.

About 97 pages with two sided printing, 197 pages single sided.

A shameless bump to bring this back up to the top. Make easier for new members or new casters to see it.

This is the BEST so far regarding bullet casting.

Yeah I read Fryxell's tome about casting...I think I learned a couple of things from it. Don't use the kitchen stove or wife will be mad; don't breathe the fumes; and flux your pot. He dwelt too much on bullet mold numbers which I know absolutely nothing about.

That article has, for some time now, been "the" article to read for beginning casters. Excellent info there.

Scoot over, guys. I went over to visit Paul5338 this weekend and talked him out of a revolver that I needed for my collection. Along for the ride came all his molds and other casting gear for the .41 Mag. Casting bullets is one area I've never gotten into, but since I already have the molds now I don't have a choice. My memory is a little fuzzy but I'm pretty sure he said I could send him all the invoices for the new casting equipment I have to buy now.

Thanks for this link. I've got some catching up to do.

I just looked at the OP and realized I didn't add the pdf link so it can be printed out. I didn't see anyplace to edit the post so I'll place it here.

From Ingot To Target . . . In pdf
