"This morning TXPete lost his battle with cancer.

I just spoke with his wife. He died at home in his his easy chair on a beautiful morning. She had given him permission to go last night. She knew he was suffering. She will miss him terribly.

Pete was a true Mensch, a better friend no one could ask for. The world is now a lesser place without him"

RIP Pete, we will miss you.

Wow, that was sudden, I hate that this happenned. I always enjoyed his posts and had bought and traded a few things from him over the years, a really good stand up guy. He'll be missed around here for sure.

Thanks for the news, TxPete was such a nice person on this forum. He will be missed. May God accept him in his open arms! Maybe he and Stuffit can hookup in their afterlife!

I talked to Pete a couple of months ago and didn't even know he was dealing with a cancer issue. I knew he had some other issues, but thought he had that pretty well worked out.

Anyway, that's another telephone number that doesn't do any good anymore, along with Jon's.

I always had a higher regard for Canadians because of Pete and I appreciated the way he took care of his mother the last few years of her life.

Rest in peace is about the only thing I can say now.

Sad new indeed, we're losing too many members here. I
remember coming on this forum when I was much younger, and
many of you are kind of like family in a strange way. I
know it's only online, but I really do miss you guys when
you're gone. TXPete will be missed.

I had a few conversations with him and I have to say I'll miss him.   Seems as
though we've lost a few good people over the years that have touched us all.

Sorry to hear of his death.

Pete will be and already is missed.   We've lost a lot of members in recent years.
Stuffit, RodWMG, TXpete, to name three.   Their posts will eventually fall back and be lost in the dust balls of the archives.
So over on Leverguns.com we are exploring the possibility of making a Memorial forum just for those we've lost. With a link to their threads so they don't get lost.

We are all getting older and many of our members are at the age where we start taking the last trip to the range.

Let's not let those who've passed be forgotten.

Joe

Good post Joe, I like the idea of a Memorial forum.
