Since my son has seemingly "taken over" my 6.5x284 I have started accumulating components for a .284 build.

Bartlien 32", 1:9 twist, 5R barrel is already at Carl Bernoskys to be chambered. We are just waiting on a custom reamer from PTG with a long 0.233" freebore for 180g Berger Hybrids. With the long freebore the bearing surface of the bullet will never seat deep enough to have to worry about any donut that might form at the base of the neck.

I am getting the same style stock except in laminate since Robertsons is out of business and no one makes a comparable glass stock. Alex Sitman will be doing the work again.

Come spring we should have another pea hole shooter- with just a bit more recoil.
