I'd noticed that John (TexIndian) had not posted for the past month, so I emailed him a while back but never received a reply.. People go on vacation so I figured he was just away for a while but as my concern grew, I started digging.

Sadly it appears that we've lost our friend TexIndian...

I hadn't ever met John in person but never the less, I considered him a friend. Anyway, John had recently married and I'd joked with him that his young pretty wife would put him in his grave. Somehow I don't think I'll ever make such a joke like that again...

Damn, he just remarried too, sob life is too short. Same as you Slick, I never met him in person but he was a good man on this forum. Godspeed John.

John came over once to buy a 4" M57 I had offered for sale. I loaded him with much more than what I charged him for and I don't know that he ever got to use much of it. He did shoot the gun some, but the dies, molds and bullets may still be with his estate.

Regardless, it's hard to lose any members this way, especially when they are younger than me. Rest in peace John.

I never met John or had any exchanges with him but I enjoyed his posts.

I know we'll miss his presence here and I wish his family the best.

Sorry to hear about John (Tex Indian). I read his obit, he
surly did not waste any part of his life.
He had just PM'd me about my crimp die buckling cases in
August, as did Slick,and Rig.
Rest In Peace John - chris (Rifleman 52)

He'll be missed for sure.

Much too young, just about a year older than me. Certainly will miss his posts. He was a great addition to the knowledge base of Handloads. I will miss his comments.
RIP Tex

We have indeed lost a friend here. An avid loader and shooter yes, but also a champion of justice. Working all those years as an ADA is a task that many lawyers do not take lightly. They battle for the side of good and right and seldom ever get a thank you for it. Guys like me caught 'em. Guys like Ham kept 'em locked up. But it was guys like John that PUT THEM IN THE PEN by fighting it out in court! That's a tough job to do and I am grateful that he was a part of the system that did some good. Yes, we did loose a friend but more so we lost an unsung hero....

Very sad to hear. I looked forward to reading his posts. May our Lord cradle John, his family and friends. We are diminished.

Over the years, John and I had more than a few behind the scenes PM's and handloading items exchanges.
Great guy and he will be missed on our board very much.

I have John's address if anyone else would care to send a card or condolences.

I know he's already gone but does anyone know what happened to him?   It didn't mention anything in the obit that I saw.
