I didn't realize he, Dennis Murphy, was having any problems, but evidently he was.

Dennis was "dwmurphy" on the forum and he also had a liking for VWs.

Paul, I can't put the name to the handle, what did he go
by here?

I got the FB message and was wondering who he was
amongst my online friends. That's the downside of
handles I guess.

We are all mortal and never feel we've spent "enough"
time with those we are friends with. Thanks for sharing
this with the group Paul.

composing my reply, thanks.

I saw where he was born in 1956, so he was 12 years younger than me. That's pretty young to be leaving this life we all have. Of course, any age is too young, if you aren't a born again Christian. I don't know what Dennis' status was along those lines.

2 years younger than me. That makes you a decade older
than me Paul!!

I didn't know him well enough to say what his faith was
in. I can only hope he made the right choice.

I know who he is but I don't think he posted anything in a good while.
Hate to say it but this forum just doesn't see any use anymore compared
to when I first logged on.

That's the same age as my younger brother....
And I am 16 years older then him.
Too bad and sad....
And in a week I'll be 74.

I hate to hear of any of our members leaving but it happens. I wish his family and friends well.
As far as I remember, Dennis was a good contributor to this site. I hope he is in a far better place.

Three years younger than I.

Mike

There seems to be two sides to these forums. Some that I have left, by the time you see a post you want to respond to there are 5 pages of replies. Those sites tend to have a lot of trolls and a lot of trouble. Sites like this I see some really good people, but there is not a lot of activity here. I turned 52 on Friday and I realize there are fewer days ahead than there are behind me. I see people saying should I buy this gun I really like it, or should I get into reloading I've been thinking about it forever. My response is always, if you have the means, do it, because life is short. Enjoy yourself, and get out and do things as much as you can, because you don't know what's going to happen. My best friend in the world always said ya just don't know what's gonna happen, ya just don't. He said that all the time. He had a massive heart attack at just 43 years old. I was surprised to find out later he had left me 5 guns in his will. At least he planned ahead. It's always sad to see somebody leave this earth, but in the end, none of us get out of here alive. Try and enjoy every moment, go when you can, and do whatever it is. Fishing, hunting, that trip to the range, whatever it is, if you have the time go that day and enjoy yourself because ya just never know.

This life is not a rehearsal. Live it as big as you can. There is only one swing at the plate.
My prayers to dwmurphy's family and let him rest in peace. God Bless.

I am deeply saddened by this news. May Dennis Murphy
rest in peace and the good lord lift him up! To his
family and friends. Please accept my condolences for
his passing. Dennis Murphy, was part of our handloading
forum community, I also have him as my Facebook friend
and used to see his pictures of the fun times with the
"BUG".
