ok, so it's normal to fowl that quickly, it was usually two good shots and a flier, ok, noted, shoot, brush, patch. On a good note, I fixed the set trigger issue, when I was cleaning, a part had spun out of place and was locking it up, that is no longer an issue. Looks like it had been an issue in the past, and the guy ignored it, there's a bit of damage in the lock, but it seems to be working, tons of rust in the breech where the hook is too, scrubbed the heck out of that area.
