Hello, does anyone here reload 50 Alaskan. 520 grain lead bullets is what I plan on reloading. Looked and can't find any powder info, brand/amount... Thanks, John

John since this is the handgun form I have to admit to
having NO experience with the 50 Alaskan although the
lever actions fascinate me and I have talked with my
brother about locating one, but this round does look
impressive in a pistol.
Pictures if you have em Please?

Hi REM1875, thank you for the reply. I don't have an Alaskan yet...one is on order an Alaskan 15" encore barrel with mussel brake for my Encore pistol. I will post a pic when I can. Right now I am shooting 500 S&W out of S&W & Taurus revolvers and Thompson Encore. Bullets from 300-700 grain. I saw one load for the 50 Alaskan but it was for a lot lighter bullet than I plan on reloading. I shoot pretty much all common pistol/revolver calibers....too much fun not too! Have a great week! John

Howdy John
Try this pistol snippet- 690 and 975 gr- a bit more
than you are planing? - it's short and it's sweet.

Oh and it's fun-
seems to have handled that pretty damned well.

I am a damned wimp- 460 and 45-70 revolvers and a 50
A.E. in a modified Ruger with 460 gr cast bullet and
that's enough for me.

And? LoL get to work- we want videos.
See if you can find a car block -I would love to see
that. Or a hunt. Or just target practice. Or just a few
photos of the gun for starters.
