I wasn't even aware of a 240 gr bullet available in .308.    That one
has to hurt.

Welcome here.

For some reason the 300 Win Mag I had kicked like Hell!
Gave it away sorta.
Rather shoot my Rem 300 ultra mag that I had ported.

You'll find it's easier to post the photos on Photobucket and post the
link in the message.

That's what I said about my 180 gr loads.   The 165 gr loads aren't
much better.

Interesting that you like the heavy bullets in the .300 WM, most do
not.

Me on the other hand haven't shot the heavy stuff much at all.
Maybe I should be leaning that way.

You're close, very close.   After you post the photo to Photobucket
click on the IMG tag (it will then say copied) and just paste it in the
message with a CTRL V.

Sometimes you have to stretch the reply box from the lower right
corner if the image link doesn't fit on 1 line.

I've never done it using an Android, my Mac is tough enough.

One of these things?

That's a lot of rifle. I have to admit I wasn't all that fond of mine. Weighed close to 18 pounds with the scope, about 16 without.

However the weight and the muzzle brake reduced the recoil tremendously. Felt kinda like a .243 or a .223 when fired. Good accuracy, no doubt. Savage builds quite a rifle, but it just wasn't my thing. Satisfied my curiosity, and moved on.

You're getting good groups. Solidly under MOA. What are your plans for the rifle? Formal target competition or perhaps long range hunting?

Regards, Guy

Yes

I don't know would be fun to get a supressor for it and take some pigs
out at 800 yards

I just set out to see how tight I could get my groups
It's sad to say that it's so accurate it takes the fun out of shooting it at
known distances

There is a mod u can do to the ba chassis on the stock the oval plate
with the two screws Has a QD cup built in the bracket
U just have to take the stock off and drill out the center whole in the rifle
section of the stock
