Is this site officially closed? It's been close to 4 days since I've seen a post. Is there another forum people are all going to? In my old age I talk to myself enough as is without doing it on this forum. If we have finally run out of topics make something up to tell me.

No Rex, the site isn't closed, it's just real slow.

Been 6 days for me since I looked and nothing new.   Hate to say it
but it probably is time to close it.

That would be a shame. This place used to have a lot of traffic.

But one cool thing is the ones posting now are serious and experienced handloaders.

We need a plan to keep it going. I've always like this site.

Hmmm 9640 members. Surely there is a way to improve traffic.

Not sure what's needed but new members are needed and not many
come here.    Also needs a software update in my opinion.   You can't
blame the owner, he gave up on it probably 8 years ago.

Don't why it's so slow here.
I try to post as much as possible, but not so many hand loaders now?
Don't know if that's true or not.

Rex,
Things are doing as good as can be expected with dialysis three times a week. I weighed 141 this morning fully dressed and that's a lot of weight loss.

Paul, if you don't mind I'll mention your name when I talk to the Maker tonight. Just hang in there and trust.

I would hate to see the site go. Great people, NO sniping and a wealth of info just there for the asking.
Thanks to all contributers.

Well hang in there doggone it. I could stand to lose some weight, but your way seems kinda extreme. Dang. Tough road.

This place is kind of slow, but... It's comfortable here. I have seen other sites just sort of slow down & end. Without new members, there's often not much new to discuss. I buy a new rifle once in a blue moon. You guys have seen pretty much all of my rifles & handguns and loads at one time or another.

I did enjoy sharing my 2016 hunting season, it was a real good one. Unusually good for me.

But - what else is there? I dunno. I'll keep checking in time to time.

Guy

I don't post much we shoot almost every day and I load just about every day but I have my loads that work and that's what we shoot. don't plan on changing any thing so there really isn't a whole lot to post about I do check in to this forum every day to see what others are doing. Now if I could find some 2400 close by every thing would be just dandy. Randy

Post some of your loads that work, I'd be interested. I wish I could get to that point, seems I'm always messing with a new idea.

Once the weather gets consistently good, I have a few reloading projects I want to work on, maybe I'll have to get a camera out for a change and do some posts about them. I tend to focus on cast bullet loads in rifles anymore which not a lot of people seem interested in taking on, understandably, but maybe they could peak some interest.

I kind of wonder if reloading is dying out somewhat? Seems there are a lot of sources for inexpensive ammo now that weren't there a few years ago. I really don't do it to save money, but that is a motivating factor for a lot of handloaders.

I recently loaded some of these 270 gr Ohaus bullets in .45 Colt.

This is the bullet Stuffit was so impressed with and it seems to work well in .45 ACP too!

That's a lot of bullet. I'm just getting used to the 173 grain .38 bullet.

I sure hope it doesn't close down. I'm still new to all of this. I don't post much, but that's because I'm just getting started. In fact, the wife just bought me my first 'real' press this past week.

Paul - sorry to hear what you're going through. Keep the faith. It can feel like a lot of work sometimes, but there are people here pulling for you.

Hornady Lock-N-Load Classic. It's a kit which comes with, uh...

Okay, the box says single stage press, powder measure, scale, hand primer, reloading book, and a few more odds and ends.

Now I just need a table to put it on.
