I have recently gotten my suppressor for my Barrett m107 CQB
The performance of the suppressor widely exceeded my expectations

It is reduce the deafening blast from the 50 Cal down quieter than
AK47 but louder than AR15

I have to ask, what is involved in getting a suppressor?   I've thought
about it for some time but have never followed up on it.

If house bill 367 passes it will be
the same as buying any other handgun

But in the meantime the cheapest place to get one would be
silencershop

You just pick out the suppressor you want to get when you check out
you also buy the tax stamp which is $200 and five dollars for fees
through silencer shop you will go to your closest silencer shop kiosk
and scan your fingerprints upload a photo of yourself and then is the
long part which is waiting my last silencer took eight months to get

There are two ways that you can buy items from the NFA

The first one is an individual to where you were the sole owner and the
only one that can process it

The second way is you have to form an NFA trust   And then you and
every member of your trust has to supply fingerprints and a picture for
the process to continue but on a positive note anybody in the trust can
have access to the NFA items at any time

Silencers can cross state lines as long as the state that you're going
into allows suppressors

Now short-barreled rifle's or SBR's cannot cross state lines without first
applying through the NFA to cross state lines

I think this is the wave of the future, it makes sense to
me and I'm hoping the new administration will make it
easier to purchase them.

I have a brake on my 308 and it reduced the recoil about
40% and I love it but the muzzle blast is worst. However I
wear double ear protection, plugs and muffs so it isn't to
bad.

The only problem I have with a suppressor is it adds length to the
barrel.   But, it is the wave of the future in my opinion too.   The
problem where I live in the country is city people have moved out
here.   When they hear a gun they think the worst.    And that is
where a suppressor shines.

I'll wait and see what happens with the process and then get one.
What would I want for a Rem 700 VS in .22-250?   How do you even
decide which to buy?

22-250 is a magnum round

You would need to use a 30 cal silencer with Inconel

''Inconel is a family of austenitic nickel-chromium-based superalloys.
Inconel alloys are oxidation- and corrosion-resistant materials well
suited for service in extreme environments subjected to pressure and
heat."

Silencers with aluminum or stanlass steel will not hold up to the heat

I badly want to purchase some cans. I have permanent hearing issues after
years of shooting. I don't want my kids to grow up and have to deal with the
same issues. I just have to get through some tight times before I can start
investing in cans...

I wonder if, and how, it will change making one for personal use?
