I had a M431, it was just OK at best. Sold it about 5 months.
Just not a S&W..

I have 5 Taurus revolvers, the 445 being the newest and worst example. Like most other gun manufacturers they have cheapened their products to get more profit to the point of no return. I've been a long time S&W fan and have more of their revolvers than all my other handguns combined, but I'll never buy a new one.

There have been several models of Bulldogs that I'd been interested in, but most dealers in the area didn't carry them and when I did see one the quality was hit and miss. If their quality is good, they may be the best deal.

I actually thought that M431 was a S&W. That 445 was a great gun, I
actually think the former owner had the action done on it.

Every Taurus I ever handled felt like there was sand in the action, not
so on the 445 I owned.
