Well our big snow back is all most gone so I have been recovering a lot of spent lead to cast a whole bunch more bullets and do it all over again. Do any of you recover your lead and recast it. Randy

No, at present I have enough lead bullets to last for years.   Biggest
problem is I go between rifle and pistol.   Bet I haven't touched a
pistol in 7 years.

Hate to say it but the rifles fascinate me. But the pistols are fun too.

I dig as much out of the dirt bank as I can find. Even pick up others spent jacketed bullets. I've got to get it melted down and cleaned up one of these days.

I scrounge a lot from a pistol range I'm a member of. Mostly FMJ pistol bullets, but it comes out harder than I'd have expected. For most pistol bullets, just adding a little pewter makes good bullets. The stuff is free, I RSO out there now and then and leave with a five gallon bucket when I do.

Wheel weights are getting hard to come by. I have quite a bit of lead, but it may get harder to come by eventually. Rendering it down into ingots is hard work sometimes, but I have a big cast iron pot with a lid and live on 18 acres of woods out in the sticks, so I've been using wood fires to melt it out.

Yup!

We don't see much snow in these parts. A little ice now and then, but mostly further north. But that's ok, I don't much care for snow and ice. Had enough of that in S. Dakota.

As to recycled lead, on my range most of my rounds go into a steep embankment across a ravine that's not readily accessible, especially in my condition. Built a smaller range for pistols last year with a small berm behind it. Not a lot of lead in it yet, but maybe later.
