I ran across this article again that I had read once before from a while back and thought it interesting reading. AR was destroyed by ammo containing powder mixed with handgun powder.

Really reinforces how careful one needs to be when loading. Felt I
have always been OCD when it comes to changing powders and
cleaning out the powder hoppers. Many times powder gets caught in
the measuring chamber.

Thanks for posting the article; it is a good reminder. Fortunately, the
injuries were not major.

In cases of possible massive failures where minor to
extreme damage and/or injury can result, I always try to
over compensate on the side of safety. i guess it's from
my military training, we were trained and practiced what
we thought was over cleaning of our weapons. After
reading this article I am so glad that we received that
type of training. It has, thankfully, transferred over
to civilian life for me. When I finish a reloading
session I ALWAYS over clean my powder hopper. Thanks so
much to Ham Gunner for sharing this article, and praise
God nobody was hurt more than they were.
