Picked up some news of 5 dead about 30mi North of here and several places blasted to bits. All is fine here. Guess I was lucky here. Most of it all was along the I20 corridor east and south of Dallas a ways.

Roger that. Tornado... one heck of a way to cash in the chips!

May their souls rest in peace. And thankfully, it seems that no one I know was involved.

Death toll confirmed at 4. Earlier reporting included one that was actually missing. Three tornadoes were on the ground at the same time causing a path of destruction estimated to be 50 miles. Astounding.

I had bought a new smartypants phone that day and didn't have all the necessary apps loaded up to receive weather warnings. I seldom watch tv so for a while I had no clue there was such activity just a few miles away from me.

Two more confirmed dead in Canton Tx. Total now at 6 dead, dozens injured, possibly hundreds displaced with homes destroyed. Damages in the millions.

Two tornadoes were on the ground for a total travelled distance of 50 miles. Total of known tornadoes that touched down and recorded now said to be at 7.

I guess no matter where you live this is the time of year for storms.
We're getting our share in OH now.    We've had 6 days of rain in the
last 8 and it looks like it will continue into the weekend.

Hope all of you are safe from whatever catastrophic weather you get
in your area.
