20 years. 85,000+ rounds. This Kimber has been a wonderful gun.

Gang Unit
Firearms Instructor
Personal carry

The .45 and I have been in some "stuff" together. It's still a good gun, a real good gun.

My first auto was a Kimber Pro Carry II.   I still have it and wouldn't
part with it.     I was never a fan of the 1911 till I got the Kimber, now
I'm sold.

The only other auto I carry is a GLOCK 26 that is a great carry gun.
But the Kimber tends to be my first choice.

The 6 gun was once as common as the cellphone is today, and just as annoying when it went off in the theater.

That finish - that is how a favorite gun should look -
one that has actually been a favorite tool and used.
It speaks volumes about that Kimber without even knowing
it's history.
Thanks for the post Guy

I just recently got a Kimber Stainless Target II in 10mm Only have a box through it at this point but it sure shoots nice. Also have a Springfield Champion in 45acp. It handles most of the concealed carry needs.

"Uncle Sugar" wouldn't let me have either 1911A1 pistols from across the pond. And they both had some "shots fired in anger" time as folks say... Oh well.
My oldman had his. Course he was an officer and it was WWII too. Remember him fussing about it being made by a typewriter company! Course horse tradin runs rampant in my family and he traded it for a.30-30 made before WWI.
