Celebrating Independence day in about 30 minutes with a trip to the rifle range!

Later today, family get-together here at Camp Miner with the grill hot & beer cold.

Mine got off to a good start. Wife slept in, I can't stay in bed past sunrise, so got up and shot (for the first time for me) 50 rounds through a vintage Model '92 Winchester in .32-20. All components were my dad's stuff and he gave me the rifle. Nice to have my own range where I have a vice and tools for adjusting sights a few steps away.

I can't think of a better way to celebrate American independence than shooting.

Shot up some .357 that I don't load anymore this morning. Another car pulled in and one of the passengers was a young, pretty girl. Always a sucker, I broke out some light .38 specials and let her shoot to.
