We finally got an inch this evening, almost forgot what it looked like. The corn has been living on humidity for a while.

Up here we are about 12" above normal,
no rain in the last 3 days and the
garden soil looks normal, finally.

Most days it's 100f and no rain. Maybe tonight or in the morning maybe... We'll see. Hot and dry. Tough on the stock.

We got a good day of it yesterday, actually enough to do some good and not so much all at once to just run off which usually seems to be the case. Needed it pretty badly.

Well, according to the weather app I run, we're in for a few days of soaking. Good. Give me a chance to cast and load.

90's and 100's here, with no rain for weeks...

Forests are tinder dry.

British Columbia is/has been on fire with 39,000 folks evacuated from their homes. Entire towns abandoned.

We've had some fires in Washington, but nothing that is sweeping into town as in past years.

Summer here, is wildfire season.

Was up in the hills a few days ago, about 6,500' or so, above Mazama.

Taking photos, and suddenly this billowed up, literally out of nowhere:

Fire, and it's getting bigger, a lot bigger. We've had enough of these fires in the past few years, coming into town and taking homes & businesses.

Ya, it's warm here, and we've got stuff to burn, like forests and towns. God bless those folks in British Columbia, they're really catching it this summer.

We are getting a lot of grass fires. Had rain early this spring and the range land grew a lot of grass, now it is dry and we get a lot of "dry lightning". Most all ranchers have a small fire rig of their own to slow it down until fire units from town can get there.

We finally got a short break in the heavy rains down
here, Cool front pushed through. The lesser humidity
has been great. I was able to get most of the grass
cut (my mom's place and mine), over the last two days
before the rain starts again this evening and through
Tuesday next week!

Got my jets cleaned in the carburetor of my 4 wheeler,
so it's running great. Did manage to scout some land
that I will have access to hunt on this year. Cleared
some of the trails of overhanging brush for easier
travels. Soon to start clearing for shooting lanes
and food plots weather permitting...

Rain has been in abundance down here in the deep south. Grass has been growing fast and my lawn looks like a golf course.

I mow a total of about 3 acres and started the summer with a new set of blades on my mower. I am wondering if they'll last through this season. I've already sharpened them once.
