Who on here knows anything about these revolvers? I was at a gun show today and this pistol intrigued me. The fella that had is for sale had 750.00 on the tag but offered it to me for 650.00, almost bought it as he had moon clips for it to shoot 45 acp. The pistol is top break which I have always wanted one. I have been trying to save some money to buy the new Ruger Redhawk that shoots 45 colt and 45 acp. Any opinions.

There going on GB for around $650.
One up right now ending soon for around $520.
I don't like top break revolvers in big calibers.
All my top break are 38 S&W, 32 S&W.
A solid frame 44 or 45 is a better made bet.
At least it won't fly open like a Webley!

Well after some research I found out that fellow shooters recommend that you do not shoot 45acp in these guns. Good thing I did not buy it. I did not take this into account but that 455 webley supposedly has a pressure of about 13000 psi and the 45 acp on the order of 19000 psi. No, I think I will just go ahead and try to get my Ruger Redhawk, better safe than sorry.

I passed on one a few years ago and regretted it. I love those things. So what if it can only handle 13000 PSI, it would only be a range toy anyway and we're all handloaders. Buy something else for field or self defense use.

Webleys are freakin' cool!
