Put 118 rounds through the Ruger today using all the ammo
in the coffee can. Came home & once in the basement I
found there was no ammo. I looked for bullets but could
find none. I washed the brass, popped it in the oven &
once dry into the tumbler.

I ate supper & went back into the basement to remove
brass from the tumbler. I was looking round & there they
were a pile of Lyman 452374 cast from half lead & half
92-6-2.

Smiling I energized the lube heater & after a few minutes
began to size & lube the bullets. Set my Dillon in the
quick mount & now I have ammo for Monday.

Well, thank goodness! A man simply cannot allow himself to be without ammunition!

Lynn:

Do you alway wash the brass? Normally my range brass goes right
into the tumbler. The only time I wash it, if it has been sitting in grass
and mud.

I do a hot water/soap wash on brass from this sixgun. The
bullets are lubed with either Caranuba Red or LBT Blue
Soft. Traces of this lube is in the brass so the wash
allows my corn cob media last longer.

Water and dish soap never did a good job on lube for me. Maybe hotter
water and Dawn would do better. My media is 75% corncob and 25%
walnut. I add one capful of the citrus based brass case polishing liquid
to the media.

It's this very fear that has me elbow deep in
lead... I'm not into casting my own boolets
yet so i buy by the 1000 as soon as I get
below 500 of any one.

... don't want to get caught short handed
when there's another recession and stuff is
hard to find.
