Went and picked up my grandkids today for an assault on Academy Sports in Tyler. My granddaughter is more like a daughter as I raised her from a toddler thru high school. She wanted/needed new cammo and her husband and I were getting her a Windom AR 15 poly-carbon framed rifle too. Of course I had to get a spare mag, cleaning rig, sling, M Pro7 LPX oil, patches, 100 rounds of ammo, and some other stuff I forgot all of it. She needed to be accessories! Right? Yeah, you guys know!

Tomorrow I will bring a Compact scope, and a Bushnell Trophy dot sight, and a Bulldog assault case for it. I will get her zeroed and going. Three things I know for certain: 1. She is one happy little lady. 2. I pitty the coyotes on their place. Gonna be a lot of empty wood puppy bunks out there. And 3. It was grand spoiling my little girl. The grin on her face was priceless!

Said she can't wait to splatter a bunch of hogs with her new rifle. Says they're nuthin but a bunch of Varmint Cong n' they need blastin'! Yup, she reminds me of me.

Raised her from a toddler thru High School. Her father returned to the scene and decided to try being a dad. He has a new wife with, shall I say, "different ways of thinking" and quite a "bossy manner" about her. She and the granddaughter clashed. Pretty hard in fact. Granddaughter said adios and got a job. Put herself through college on a basketball scolarship and married a good Christian man, who happens to be a shooter and hunter, how 'bout that. She's working at a law firm in town and that was her goal from age 7. So, yeah, I will spoil her as much as my megar pension allows. She's worth it. And as a shooter, this young lady has picture perfect fire disipline. Focused, solid, and confident. Safeties after the shot. Never strays from keeping the weapon pointed down range at all times. And now can field strip and CORRECTLY clean her AR15 with absolute perfection. Yup, she's The Old Ranger's #1 grandkid for sure!

Wade, it don't take a lot of money to spoil them, love will generally do it.

Seems like she's a great kid, and you are fully right in "spoiling" her. Good job!
