This morning:


Jeep worked well.
Jackwagon Basecamp trailer worked well.
MSR "Whisperlite" stove worked well.
North Face "Snow Leopard" sleeping bag worked GREAT.
Cabelas ECWCS long johns, military fleece and military gore-tex also worked GREAT.

Good little two-night trip, and I'm glad to be home.

Had my .45 1911 and the 30-30 Glenfield along in case something needed shooting. Should have taken the shotgun!

While we were hiking my dog pointed several Hungarian and Chukar partridge... Dang, that would have been great if I'd had the shotgun. Sigh...

I understand this, when I'm deer hunting with the 30/30
I'll flush partridge. If I have the shotgun looking for
birds I'll jump deer.
