Alliant has finally released data for BE86 for use with
the .44 Special. I have been waiting for this for about 2 years. I have 4 lbs of it and have been using it for 9mm, 38 Super and .44 Mag. Good stuff and Im happy about this info.

Never heard of BE86... sounds like a versatile powder if you can load 9mm to 44mag with it... interested to hear what kind of loads you are running and how they chrono if you have tested them.

Thanks --so far every dealer I have quizzed about it has
been in the dark and no locals carry it- yet Alliant has
loaded some of their data exclusively with it.
So I am most curious about it.

I have been using BE-86 exclusively in 9mm for almost a
year with excellent results. Burns clean, meters like
water and it produces very consistent results across all
of my 9mm pistols. Highly recommended.

I will post some of my results for the 9mm, 38 Super and 44 mag. My data is on an excel sheet on my other laptop...so far it has been a great powder that covers the spectrum well. I was just happy to see .44 Special data released. Have a ton of 240gr SWC to load.
