Well, my brain is fried. I am in the middle of finals and writing lab reports for
school.(at 55 years of age!)

I haven't shot a gun since I can remember. I think I went to our local 600yd
shoot in September. Someone was nice enough to invite me to shoot their 6.5
creedmoor which was nice.

I have to say I still enjoy living vicariously through your posts on here. Keep
them coming!

I got to hunt 1 1/2 day this year.

Next fall I am not going to take any classes. I am not going to guide. I am going
to go hunt for a week even if I don't pull any tags.

Ok, I am done whining and I need to get back to my homework...

Good luck with the tests. I still remember how much I hated school when I was young and that was a long time ago.

Yeti,

I feel your pain. I really do. The only thing that keeps me going is how close to the end I am. Looking forward to winter break.

Me too! Right now I have an A in one class even if I don't turn in my last lab. In
the second class I will end up with a B if I bail on the last lab. It is so tempting
to just pack it in and call it good. Yet here I am after 4 hours working on one
lab today going for those last few points.

My family is ready for me to be done!

Best of luck to you!

Yeti, It is not the points it is the knowledge that drives you. Continue the work.

Boys, we raised 4 children and they were all home with their families last Labor day. I sat and watched them and listened to them talk. Suddenly I dawned on me that there was only one poor Brown in my family and that was me! All 4 have educations and I have none.
Oldest is a family practice Doctor, next is a teacher and curriculum development person at her school, #3 is a vice president of a package boiler company and the last is a district court Judge. I was a mechanic-power plant operator.
Get that education and take it serious! I never.

Rex,

Sounds to me like you raised them right. No college degree teaches that. Don't sell yourself short.

Well said. It is the drive of the person that leads to success. In some industries
it is the schooling that gets you on the right road for that drive. Some, like
myself, consider what Rex has done, raised his kids right, as the most
important job any of us have. I have made that my focus for the last 11 years.
Now the twins are old enough that I get to reinvent myself. I am very fortunate
to have that opportunity.

knowledge is invaluable. What you do with that knowledge is what makes it
valuable!

Well, the extra time and effort paid off! I finished the term with a 96% and a
126%. I am good with that.

I told our assistant winemaker that I would like to start running lab work to
learn and help out. He is going to help me get dialed in and start putting all of
this schooling to use. Our wine maker and assistant winemaker are extremely
talented and I couldn't imagine two better guys to learn from. Funny thing is
our winemaker is my instructor for the science of winemaking course. I am
hoping to make my first wine next fall!

Now for a month of R&R with the family!

Well done, sir!

My last final (final final?) will be tomorrow evening. I won't know grades until a week or so after that.
