I have a 1st generation colt revolover.im looking for safe ammo and a utuber mentioned that the gun is a blackpowder frame and a handload should be black powder.will somebody steer me in the right direction,i don't want to blow up this classic. thanks steve
If you're thinking about loading blackpowder, it's not a big deal, use enough 2f
powder to fill the case so the bullet compresses the powder just a touch when
it's fully seated. Be sure the bullets are lubed with a good blackpowder
Most 32-20 smokeless loads are fine for the colt. I would recommend skipping
any loads with trail boss, pressures are to high and velocity to low.
Unique is a good powder for the 32-20 handguns.
