On this day in 1836 after a well fought
revolution the people of Texas proudly
declared their independence from Mexico.
Men of legendary status likeGeneral Sam
Houston, led the fight and others like
Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, and William
Travis with their small command, paid the
the ultimate sacrifice of their lives
defending. The Alamo.
So today we pay tribute to those brave men
who fought for free and independent Texas.
And y'all North of the Red River in those
others states can join in with a "hoot 'n
a holler" to help celebrate. So.....
Remember the Alamo! Texas Rocks!
