Today's snowshoe hike took three of us well up, to the 6,400' level at Mission Ridge, just outside of town. We were there to put a new, small flag on the wing of a B-24 bomber that crashed on the ridge, during a training mission in 1944. It was quite a hike. Beautiful up there!

Great workout, good friends, beautiful scenery.

Oh, since this is a firearms forum, I should mention that I had a 9mm semi-auto with me.

Didn't need it. That's usually a good thing!

That would be awesome. I've long had a fascination for the strategic bombing operations over Europe, it's what really won the war for us. The B-24 did most of the heavy lifting too, could carry more farther than a B-17 and there were more of them.
