Sat down and did the math on this business with flip up
iron and red dot sights. 2 1/2" above bore center. 62gr
FMJ at 2950 fps from a 16" barrel. That calculates to
202m long zero. 1.6" high at 100m. And close zero is 41m.
Sure they got fancy gizmos to do this in a flash, but I'm
old school.

Zeroed the dot at 41m exact. Zeroed irons the same.
Test fired 100m with both on the notorious 10" iron
plate. Bingo! Right at an inch and a half above center!
My,oh,my.... Reckon I'll just keep 'ole Dr. Evil after
all. See, if I couldn't get it to shoot straight, I
was gonna trade it or sell it. But it's "making nice" now
so it can stay.

El Jefe', my 357Mag M92 levergun is still my #1, top dog,
primary rifle, but 2nd place in a competition consisting
of two is ok, right? Dr. Evil shouldn't feel left out
right?

Note: becoming eccentric now, started naming guns!
