It seems that I have bought a dilemma. I found a 22 single six Ruger Three screw in almost unfired condition when I got it home and looked up the serial number it turned out to be a 1965 and has not had the fix installed. so what should I do put it away and not shoot it or shoot it and enjoy or sell and try to make some profit. I have other 22 revolver pistols to shoot. I think this could have some collector value what would you do? Randy

Here is a pic of the revolver. Rex, I feel kind of bad this revolver has made it thru 52 years in near original condition.2018-03-14_103750_DSCN0573.JPG

Nice revolver! I'd leave it alone (collector value?) and just keep an empty chamber for the hammer to rest on if you plan to carry loaded.

People collect some firearms for different reasons, not all of which I'd consider worthy of being collectable.

Shoot it. If you like it keep it and enjoy it. If you don't like it sell it and buy something you can enjoy.

After doing more research I have determined that it may not have a lot of value as a collector but I am in it at a good price so I will be shooting it. Randy

Three screw Rugers are the only ones worth a hoot!
Personally, I won't own a weapon I can't shoot.
Have fun with it!
