Ya know your getting old when you look for the new powder funnel you just bought and you find the old one. Boy it's trouble when you can't see the beam scale and you need a flash light in broad daylight!I looked the other day for the 243 die set I have never used and found it but it feel on the floor and it took a while to find those. It's getting to be a adventure every time I want to load something!!!!! Craig

Still missing the powder pan from the RCBS 505 scale.
Cats knocked it off the bench into the "Debris Field" in
my small living room/dining room/kitchen. It is nowhere
to be found. At $23 for a replacement, that scale will
sit on a shelf, like forever! It appears this is a
proprietary design and there is no suitable substitute
available. Figures....
Have a vintage Herters I can use if I have to see a beam
I guess, but the little digital unit is doing wonderful.

Guess the above is more a result of being a lousy
housekeeper and having climbing jerks for cats!

Did you tell RCBS about it? They'll likely send you one....

I did that with a bunch of 10mm I found in a closet, Possibly 10 years old or so. Craig

P.S. I just did a cleanup thread a few months ago but need to do it again.

I have found that creating routine, unvarying processes helps a lot.

Yep. I noticed it when I started making things easier to
see, and find if dropped. I now have a 100 watt desk lamp
right next to my bench in addition to my fluorescent
light and incandescent/reflector fixtures over my bench.
I now have a piece of short nap rug on the floor by my
bench so when I drop a bullet or case or primer I can
find it within an hour. My magnifying visor now lives on
my bench rather than where it used to be; put up in it's
box on a shelf. I ain't gonna mention I have to replace
every tool, every time it's used back in the same exact
place so I'll remember where it is....

I learned to do that with tools a long time ago. People would ask me why I'd put such and so back when I was going to use it in a few minutes. I'd ask them where is THEIR tool? they'd shut up and sheepishly wander away...

Here is a good example!! I wanted to load something different so I decided on 40 call as I don't shoot it very often as I only got one to test loads for a friend who was going to do competitive shooting which he never did. I think I loaded 500 or so for him and then didn't pursue it. I went today to look at my stock and it appears I loaded a bunch for myself like 400 or so. That made for a short day!!    Craig
