What a beautiful rifle!

Recently made by Remington/Marlin custom shop, which is actually Dakota Arms.

Gun writer Richard Mann is taking it to Africa soon! He's hunted there before and he's a lever-action fan, so it's a safe bet that he'll use it appropriately.

Just thought you guys would enjoy seeing such a beautiful example of a rifle. I'm afraid it makes my old 30-30 Glenfield look pretty plain!

That is pretty! That said, you'll not cry near as much should you happen to bump yours off of a rock or 2

Very nice indeed.

My father hunted deer with a Model 94 Win 30-30 open sights. Took 18 bucks in his hunting career. Granted, all or most under 150 yards but that's pretty much the distance in the big woods of PA.

Both rifles look nice to me. Always wanted a 30-30 lever rifle. As a boy Roy Rodgers shows was about all we got to go to town to watch. Guess I always wanted to be a cowboy, didn't care that much for horses but liked his guns.

HH, any man that can use factory irons at 150 yards is a good man!

Mine has a 20" barrel.

That ol' Glenfield shoots good, carries nice.

seen.

That short mag tube makes the barrel look longer.

My Marlin and Winchester in this class are 32 Win Spl
and I skillfully avoid the 30-30 because we had couple
of 30 Rems.....

So now I have come to the conclusion that the 30-30 is
not some flash in the pan and may be here to stay so I
got a bolt action and then a pump in 30-30 ......
