Always looking to see if there is anything that peaks my interest, I ran across this new model from Ruger(I thought of Wade) and it had a nice price tag, as well.

This is like the Ruger Montado revolvers that are made for Davidson's, however this one is built on the original Vaquero frame, which is the New Model Blackhawk frame. It is chambered in .44 Remag and has a 3.75" barrel.
The front sight is abbreviated and serrated and the rear notch is wider than standard Vaqueros and allows a little more daylight to surround the front sight when aiming.
Chamber throats are running .431 and the barrel groove diameter is around .4285

The grips are black laminate.

I'll likely load it with a special load along the order of 10gr. Unique under Lyman's 429421, 429244 or the 429215.

Been busy with my mom, so I haven't shot it yet.

It should make a pretty good packing gun.

Nice! Ruger, and their distributors, always come out with these new
models that catch my eye. This one sure does look like a good packing
revolver.

Very Nice !!!

Damned few of our single action here are shorter than "7.5"
But lately it sure is tempting ......
