Here in Washington, didn't draw any super-duper tags. So my son and I will just be hunting elk, deer, bear and later, upland game.

Wyoming was kind to me again, and I drew deer & antelope tags.

Pretty happy about that. I thoroughly enjoy my hunting trips to the Cowboy State.

Hope all of you have some interesting hunting coming up too! Anybody draw some special tags yet? Still waiting?

I struck out again on moose, mountain goat, big horn sheep and bison. Still waiting and hoping on the antelope drawing.
Have over the counter tags for deer and elk, so it isn't so bad. And black bear if I want to buy the tag.
..

edit: never did apply for any out of state licenses this year.

I watched a video not long ago, about hunting bighorn sheep in Montana.

The hunter finally drew after 42 years of applying for a bighorn tag!

He was being really careful about which ram he was going to take. Hunted about three weeks. Somebody poached the big ram he wanted. Grrr... But he shot a different ram, and a very good one.

42 year wait for the tag, three weeks of hunting, a fraction of a second to squeeze the trigger.

42 years, huh?
I have less than 30 to go, but by that time I'll be close to the century mark and probably won't be able to hump it up the hills too well.

Ya, I doubt I'll be in shape to hunt bighorn sheep or mountain goats by the time I am drawn for the hunt... If I'm ever drawn.

But I'm going to try to stay in decent condition. We will see...
