Anybody in the path of that thing better get moving. I grew up 70 miles or so inland of the S.C. coast and hurricanes are no joke. My son still owns a house he has dragged feet on getting rid of just outside Camp Lejeune, I hope it's still standing and not too much of a mess in a few days.

Thoughts and prayers to anyone this is going to affect.

I spent a lot of time at LeJeune and the surrounding areas
when I was younger. I remember Hurricane Donna dragged my
bed across the bedroom when I was sleeping when we lived
in New Bern. Dad must have heard the noise because he came
in and grabbed the bed from going out the window....We
lived two blocks from the river, and mom said the surge
came up almost to the front porch. She thought it was
going to come into the house. It was an older two story
house that had about five steps to climb before you
reached the porch. I must have been sleeping like a
log.....

Our garage was moved about two feet to the right and the
back yard catty-cornered neighbor had his chimney knocked
over killing a whole bunch of his chickens....

Daughter sold her home in south Jersey a month ago and moved to Myrtle Beach. She evacuated to Savanna 2 days ago.. She is in a second floor condo, hope she still has a roof.
