My oldest boy and I went to see this the other night during one of the very limited showings. Guys, this one is so amazing it's a must see for everybody. Peter Jackson did a masterful job of it and it neither glorified or condemned the war, simply told it like it was. What he did with the old footage and soundbites from interviews is unbelieveable.

Not sure why it had such limited release, but I speculate it was a rush to get it in for the 2018 Oscars, and I hope it is back in theaters soon so more can see it. If you get a chance, well worth the cost of admission.

All of us here are members of the "Gun Culture", good bad or indifferent, that is what we are.

I am a student of history, I firmly believe that anyone who is not willing to learn from the mistakes of the past is bound to repeat them.

All of history is a bit like air travel, extended periods of mind numbing boredom, punctuated by times of stark terror.

There are defining moments in history, most of which revolve around the actions of a single individual.

WW1 was one of those, a single person with a fire arm changed the course of history. The assassination of Arch Duke Ferdinand.
