If you have it online somewhere already click this button and enter the path to the image, for example http://www.host.com/mypics.jpg.
If you have it on your hard drive and it's 100k or less use this button: it will allow you to upload the picture into your post.
If it's more than 100k but less than 500k use this button: it will upload the picture and put a link to it in your post.

Chances are the pictures from your camera are larger than 500k I've written a brief article on how to resize images for upload.

Is your pop-up blocker set to maximum security? -- Just something to check since the forum uses a little pop up box for putting a picture in your post.

Most likely turbo is correct and it's a popup blocker stopping it from opening. It is opened via javascript, which you must have enabled or you wouldn't have been able to log in. The easiest way to get it to work may be to add http://forums.handloads.com as a site to allow popups on in whatever tool you have blocking the popups.

One tip I learned from using internet photo hosting sites and then linking them to a forum like this one (as JohnK describe in the first method):

Sometimes the address (URL) of a picture at a hosting site will not have .jpg at the end. You have to add that yourself manually or all you get is the red X when you try to link that photo to your post.

Hijacker I edited your post to remove the space in the picture link. Just hit the edit button to see how your post should look.

importing the next pic...where is a 12 year old when you need to set
something up? I need a new toaster, but they all look so complicated...Jack

You can set your avatar in your member settings area. To get to that just click on the settings link for your account. This is located at the top right of the page. From there click edit profile and you will see where you can add an Avatar in.
