Steelhead, thanks for starting this thread - it's really nice to get to know the other forum members a little better.

Not much I'm sorry to say; production machine shop. I set up automatic screw machines. Can get the tool maker to do "G" jobs for me when I need them as long as it doesn't look like a gun part(company anti gun policy) Jake

Almost 55, bought my first press in 1970 for a RSB, retired. Pilot, Air Traffic Controller, Treasure Diver. Do a bit of fishing when I'm not hunting. Or is it the other way around?

And I never said I didn't know how to use a pistol...

I'm 50 , born and raised on a farm/ranch east of Cheyenne, been hunting ,shooting and reloading since I was 5 or 6. Worked on ranches for a few years then got convinced I needed to have a real job. Spent 16 yrs indentures servitude on the uprr signal dept.  Decide that working for a living wasn't all it was cracked up to be ,went back to ranching never looked back. Have spent quite a bit of time guiding for antelope, deer and elk. Like to fish. Handguns are my favorite guns. followed by leveractions, and single shots. Spent a good many years shooting tons of blackpowder mostly flintlocks.

Age 52. First loaded for a 16ga when I was 19 so that I could afford to shoot skeet. Have not loaded since. My Midland catalog is on it's way and hope to be loading again soon for 45-70 and 41mag. I'm a retired Army musician and currently do water utility work. Looking forward tapping all the knowledge here on the board.

John,

It seems that we are seeing part of a problem with the profiles.  I live in Texas, but there isn't anywhere to let me indicate anything besides USA.  Ranch says he is in Guernsey, but I think he may have a Guersney instead of living there! I have a Jersey, so I may change my location to Jersey (I really can't do that, someone may mistake it for New Jersey! ).

Im 40,my horse is 13 and Ive reloaded for about the same time. Started on -06 and 357.

Ive been writing music since I was six, ended up being all too busy touring with several bands for about 20 years, so I kinda cut down on that... I had to. It hit the point that my wife didnt know me anymore- neither did I.   Weve been together for 18 years,I didnt wanna throw that away for a "career" that takes all your time,24/7/356 .  Ive been very lucky to survive that craziness, now I prefer to concentrate on my main job which is composing / songwriting. We are not rich but we have a real life which is hunting... dawgs... fishing... reloading... casting... camping... the whole nature... or just warming up Sauna at 8.30 AM, doing it right now.

Choices!

Wow, a whole lot of diversity here, but also a lot in common.

As of a week ago, this ol' fart is now 42. Full time single Dad with full custody of my two fine young sons - 11 and 6. Career is high tech based as a Corporate computing and telecommunications systems engineer - been doing this for 20+ years. Amateur radio operator (HAM radio) too - advanced class, license: KA0ZSU. Ultra newbie reloader at just a few months now, but pickin' it up quickly and enjoying it immensely. To get away from it all, I'll jump on the Hog, find a buddy or two, and ride 'till the wheels fall off - God I need more time for myself though, as I rode less than 1,000 miles on the bike last Summer...      I have got more high-tech hobbies than I'll ever have time for, for sure. Like I've said before - I would love 4 extra hours in every day, just for myself...

Paul no Guernseys here mostly angus, hereford and galloway. Guernsey just happens to be the closest town. I thought it pretty considerate of Mr. Knutson to put that on the location list, so I used it.
