John,

It seems that we are seeing part of a problem with the profiles. I live in Texas, but there isn't anywhere to let me indicate anything besides USA.

I agree, that seemed odd to me that it was that limited. One more thing to add to the forum to do list .

I'm a lawyer ( ashamed to say it) who is 50 ( almost 51 ). I live in Laredo Texas on the Mexican Border. I have been reloading since 1988. Got divorced about 4 yrs ago and the ex got all of my reloading equipment--which is still rusting in my old gun room (2 dillon 550's and a rock chucker) plus tons of brass and bullets and powder. My present spouse bought me a dillon 650 for Christmas and it is great therapy for me to reload.

P.S. never ever never ever take a firearm or even one round of ammunition to Mexico. They arrest people for that. Even components will land you in the hoosegow and they will throw away the key.

Hmm, seems I'm kind of average here.  54 years old, computer software consultant, retired from the Navy in 1988.  Reloaded and shot a lot in the 70's.  Sold everything when I got transferred to California.   I started shooting again this year on a whim and found out that I still love it.  I'm clearing out the garage and probably going to buy a Dillon 550b in Jan or Feb.

Magnum Murray,

Don't sweat the lawyer thing, as long as your not with the ACLU, I won't gripe.

Magnum Murray,

I haven't told you welcome to the board!  Consider that done now.

It's kind of strange that we live in the same state and yet we are 750 miles away from each other.   Hogrider, in Arizona, is probably closer than I am.

Oh well, the internet makes friends at great distances.

John, we need a checkerboard and a potbelly stove to gather around to tell our ol' geezer tales!  Try not to spit on the floor!

Nah! Laredo is about 200 miles miles south of San Antonio. I have been there once during my traveling years. Spent the night in a small town called Eagle Pass. Anyhow, just by looking at the map - even the furthest place in Texas is way closer to Laredo than Phoenix,AZ.

While we are at that subject? Is there anyone besides Bentbarrel and me from Arizona?

OOPs, I could have sworn MM said El Paso!   I guess I just keyed on "mexican border".

Don't worry, I'll be all right one of these days!  Just a senior moment and it will pass, won't it?

Well, anyway, I used to white wing hunt down the river from Laredo in a milo field.  That's when I learned I don't shoulder an 1100 tight enough to make it cycle, even though it's gas operated.  I also learned, one row of milo looks just like all the rest when you are looking for downed dove and don't have a dog with you.

Doesn't hurt on an 80 degree South Tewxas day in December either.

Training manager in Eastern Washington State, 59 years old.  Started reloading in 1973, about 30 years ago.  Primarily handload all pistol calibers but am now concerned about floor loading as I enjoy handloading more than shooting.  Shoot bench rest rifle (.308) competition monthly and really am getting into that.

Just turned 46. I design, write and debug computer software, mostly for big blue iron. Did a stint in desktop and sales technical support for three thankless years. Travel and work have kept me away from shooting much of the past ten years but the past year has been OK. Started reloading shortly after I started shooting seriously in 1988.
